EEHG hosted a 5-day Digital Literacy Program for thirty (30) 9th and 10th graders from August 17-21, 2026 at the Golden Grove/Nabaclis/Haslington Community Centre, East Coast Demerara. Participants included students from the surrounding villages on the East Coast as well as students from Georgetown who were bused to Golden Grove every day.

The purpose of the program was to provide students the opportunity to obtain basic training in Digital Literacy, making them comfortable with the use of computers. The program allowed learners to navigate, evaluate, and create information in digital formats, equipping them with essential skills to safely and effectively use technology for communication, content creation, problem solving and information management. Topics included Keyboarding, Intoduction to Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Email, Internet Basics, Cyber Bullying Awareness, Social Media Footprints, and ended with a Digital Student Challenge.

Student feedback on the program was overwhelmingly positive, with most participants agreeing strongly that the training improved their understanding of digital literacy and helped them become more confident, smart technology users. Multiple participants described the program as "amazing," "fun," and said they'd "come back"
