Lance Hinds (Guyana)

Over 30 years’ experience providing professional services for the design, development and implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions for both the public and private sectors in Guyana. Specializes in ICT strategic planning and implementation at the national level, with a specific focus in rural community and hinterland development, and economically challenged communities.

Among many other activities, served as technical representative for Guyana on the Caribbean Community Council on Trade and Economic Development (COTED) for the implementation of ICT policies for the region’s overall development.

Past President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a former member of the Private Sector and Innovation Advisory Groups of the Caribbean Export Development Agency.

Currently Vice Chair of the Latin American & Caribbean Regional At-Large Organisation (LACRALO), an internet governance policy group that advises the global Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) on the effective management of the internet.

Chief Executive of the BrainStreet Group, a technology solutions company and Founder/Director of the DreamSpace foundation, an ICT developmental non-governmental organization (NGO).
