Justice Kenneth Benjamin (Guyana)

West Indian-trained Attorney-at-Law admitted to practice in Guyana in 1977. Practiced privately for 11 years in the civil courts in Guyana, before ascending the Bench as Chief Magistrate of Antigua and Barbuda. Served as a Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court assigned to the civil, commercial, and criminal jurisdictions of several Islands for 18 years. Chief Justice of Belize from 2011 until retirement in 2020. Professor of the Law Department of the University of Guyana as of October 2021, and current Head of the Department. Trained judicial educator and an experienced judicial professional.
